Team History
The Columbus Eagles Swim Team was founded in 2004, and has quickly built a reputation for developing quality swimmers and gaining Local, State and National recognition. 

Eagles Mission Statement
Columbus Eagles is a competitive swimming program dedicated to provide quality training to all the athletes. Columbus Eagles Swimming is committed to use superior training techniques and the latest swim theories to help central Ohio swimmers achieve their maximum potential.  The team is built on the foundation principle that
coaches and parents work together in a family environment, that allow develop each swimmer as an athlete and a person.    

Team Philosophy
The Eagles swim team consists of coaches, swimmers and parents working together in a supportive environment to develop each swimmer’s growth as an athlete and a person.  Self-discipline, self-confidence, camaraderie, good sportsmanship and a healthy lifestyle are all qualities which the Eagles swim team emphasizes, and which will benefit swimmers in all aspects of their lives.  Swimmers of all levels, from novice to national, shall be treated in a fair and consistent manner.  While we encourage swimmers to attend as many practices as possible to maximize their skills, we recognize that family commitments and other activities are also essential to a child's personal growth.  We endevor to make team Eagles a resource, that will help swimmers achieve excellence in all areas of life.  Swimmers are encouraged to have personal goals.  These goals may span a wide spectrum from gaining confidence in the water to increasing physical fitness to training to become a competition swimmers.  We welcome all swimmers of all abilities and will work to help them meet their goals.  Team Handbok

FACTS

  • Eagles Swim Team limits the number of swimmers in each of our groups to only 15 swimmers. This will allow coaches to give your swimmers individualize attention at all times.
  • We stress our feelings that family & education take precedence over swimming; therefore we don't hold swim practice after 8:30 PM during school days.
  • We train using proper stroke techniques at all times and teach all strokes preparing Medley swimmers.
  • We start each season with 5 weeks working on stroke technique.   
  • We use latest swimming technique theories to teach our athletes the winning techniques.
  • Eagles swimmers train to race all distances and to swim all strokes with no exceptions.
  • We teach our athletes life skills such as leadership, courage, confidence, teamwork, work ethics, sportsmanship, setting and reaching goals through hard work and dedication while having fun.
  • Eagles families are not obligated to work any swim meets. We believe swim parents work hard enough and we are not interested in making their life any harder by assigning a number of swim meets every season.
  • We have a Centrally Located, indoors and out door training sites.
  • Eagles Swim Team has 6- years lease contract at the Columbus North Sports Club.   
  • Team Eagles provides the highest quality in the state of Ohio, and one of the highest in the entire nation; 80% of our swimmers have qualified to the junior Olympics championship every season in the last 3 years.
  • Many Eagles swimmers has achieved national top-16 times in which 2- swimmers are currently ranked 5th in the entire nation.
  • Many state records have been broken in the past 2 years.
  • Team Eagles is known of its Quality Traditions. Throughout the Eagles short history, EST has earned eight State Championship Trophies at the last eight consecutive state championships.
    • Columbus Eagles is a team that has proven a leadership in Ohio swimming with all meanings, yet the team has shown Great Results over the course of the past 4- years claiming 6-Ohio’s Runner- Up Titles in all 2004 SC, 2004 LC, 2005 SC, 2005 LC, 2006 SC, 2007 SC, and 2- Ohio Champion Titles in 2006 SC, 2007 LC
    • Team 10& under Boys have set 2- Ohio Records in 2005 and 2006 swim seasons.
    • Team 12-year old Female Athlete has earned the Ohio Athlete of the year at the Ohio Junior Olympic championship July 19-22 at Miami University after wining the 11-12 individual high points. 
    • The team has also proven a leadership in the entire Nation when 3 –swimmers have ranking as high as - 6 in the Nation in 9- events.
